It's here. Openning day. First pitch, ball one. David Ortiz is looking down at me while I write. Three radios are on at once. Baked beans are in the oven. Full count. Openning day. Sam is wearing a Red Sox onesie. Lugo strikes out.

Baseball again. New life. Time to drink beer and work in the garden. A single for Yuke.

And here he is, friends, David Ortiz. 1-800-54-GIANT. I wanted to be writing while he is up. Two strikes. Check swing, he takes it high. Left field, to the gap, it rolls all the way to the wall. Here comes the relay throw and it's too late. Big Pappi's first RBI for hte season and the Red Sox lead it.
